Is learning from experience the best way to learn? Learning from experience really means learn from making mistakes. But cross-culture and international business mistakes are expensive! Wouldn't it be nice to learn from someone else's mistakes instead? TMC's classes are based on lessons I've learned from 20+ years in Chinese Asia—figuring out and fixing many mistakes. Learning from my experience saves you time, money and a whole lot of stress. I explain how/why Chinese and Westerners see key things like problem solving, motivation, contracts and communication, then offer tips/suggestions for coping, illustrated by real-life examples. Who is the training for, Westerners or Chinese?
Whether you are Chinese or Western, manager, staff or neither, living in Chinese Asia, visiting or have a long-distance relationship, the issue is the same: if you can't communicate you will fail. Everything—communicating, building relationships, gaining trust, being effective—depends on seeing things the way the other side does. You need to wear two (at least) pairs of glasses. Teaching works best when participants are active. If you attend be prepared to laugh, think, argue and work. Classes can be tailored towards a company's specific needs or situation. |
